Description | Bats hibernating in the Moravian Karst and its environs have been monirtored for more than 40 years. However, the occurrence of bats in summer shelters has not been evaluated in details so far. Results of checks of potential summer shelters of bats in buildings, performed in 1992-2001 are presented. In total, 161 localities were checked comprising 222 lofts, attics and similar roof spaces of churches (145), castles (28) and other buildings (49). Over 50% of checks were positive. In total, 9 bat species were recorded:Rhinolophus hipposideros, Myotis myotis, M. mystacinus, M. emarginatus, M. daubentonii, Pipistrellus pipistrellus, Eptesicus serotinus, Plecotus auritus a P. austriacus. |
