| Description | Types and other material of the Australasian species of Ptecticus are reviewed. One new species is described from New Guinea. Revision of the relevant type-specimens resulted in the proposal of six new synonyms. Lectotypes are designated for three species and identities of other four species are discussed. Additional taxonomic notes and new distributional records are given for seven Australasian species. |
