• Description: The paper synthetically investigates selected issues concerning institutional aspect of social policy in the CR in connection with its accession to the EU. It includes mainly the issues of the social benefit system, pension insurance and labour market policy. It endeavours to assess how systemic changes in those areas will affect the economic environment it the Czech Republic and tries to capture the principal development trends in those areas.
