| Description | Counterterrrorism is one of the priorities of security policy of the Czech Republic and the European Union. The EC/EU have been building their antiterrorism policy since the middle of the 70s. The Maastricht Treaty and other important EUTreaties (Amsterdam Treaty, NiceTreaty) include antiterrorist measures mainly in the third pillar (internal security), but also in the second pillar (foreign and security policy) and in the first pillar (financing of terrorism). Some antiterrorist measures and documents have been criticized from various subjects (e.g. humanrightsNGO). |
