Description | Within the framework of a wider research project, the sample of primary school pupils was aimed at discovering the connections between maladaptation symptoms, selected personality characteristics and school performance. It turned out that an impaired school performance did not often correspond to their intellectual capacity and that such pupils were typically characterised by a low level of performance motivation, external attributions, and lower acceptance of responsibility for their own behaviour. Having identified the maladaptation causes leading to psychological load and stress, we were brought to reflecting the ways how to modify maladapted pupils behaviour. |
