Description The hazard function is an important characteristic of the random variable - survival time. At the same time it can be considered to be a coefficient - death rate - in a deterministic model of a cohort survival. This observation allows us to determine the hazard function from survival data in a parametric way. The idea is illustrated on carcinoma patients data.
