| Description | The chapter summarizes our knowledge on terrestrial invertebrates of South Moravian floodplain forests based on accessible published data and the author's own research. The introductory section describes the characteristic ecological factors in floodplain forests and how these affect invertebrates. This is followed by information on the invertebrate fauna broken up according to the stand layers or specific habitats. Particular attention is paid to the impact of inundation and further characteristics of the water regime on invertebrate fauna. |
