Description | All available faunistic data on the occurrence of bats within the Lower Morava BR (extended Pálava BR), collected in the years 1954-2003, were summarized. In addition to the list of records, the distribution of each species is shown in detailed grid maps. In total, 22 bat species have been recorded (including Nyctalus lasiopterus, the occurrence of which remains uncertain). Nyctalus noctula, Myotis daubentonii, Pipistrellus pygmaeus, and Eptesicus serotinus were found to be the most abundant species. Rhinolophus hipposideros, Myotis emarginatus and Plecotus austriacus are less common but characteristic of this relatively warm region. For the first time, Myotis dasycneme was documented in the area as a rare but possibly reproducing species. |
