| Description | Bad situation at the labour market in Brno is nowadays most often associated with unsuccessful transformation of industrial companies, particularly former machinery giants, and also with rather small inflow of foreign direct investments into industry of the second largest city of the Czech Republic. The authors also take into account whether adverse development of industry in Brno stopped or whether it continues. Therefore they analyze economic results of particular industrial branches in Brno at the beginning of the decade and confront them with republic trends. Analysis of a number of financial indexes concerning economy of industrial companies shows, that Brno is in a period of stagnation and marks of industrial revival are not evidential so far. |
