Description | Hypothermia is very effective neuroprotective method in experiment and in some clinical indications. Neurosurgical and Anesthesia Departments of University Hospital Brno use controlled hypothermia as the only ones in Czech Republic. Currently we are trying the effect of controlled hypothermia in intensive care for patients with SAH HH IV and V with the aimto influence vasospasms and to increase the tolerance of brain tissue to ischemia. Mild controlled hypothermia maybe a promise for patients with severe SAH. |
