| Description | In October 1920, a number of "younger philosophers" started publishing the philosophical magazine Philosophical Movement. It ought to contribute to the "liberation of Czecg philosophy from the dominance of positivism", represented in particular by F. Krejčí. The believed that positivism, through its conception of philosophy, its scientism and incognizance of the transcendent prevented philosophy from being able to tackle all its tasks. When Rádl critically assessed their efforts, he initiated a discussion know as the dispute over the new Czech philosophy. A part of this article related to the personal relationship between E. Rádl and Karel Vorovka (1879-1929), who was considered as the leading representative of the younger Czech idealistic philosophy. |
