Description | CCD Zeeman spectra of the eclipsing binary HR 6611 with Am components were obtained with the 6-m SAO telescope. We measured R-L shifts of about 20 well-defined spectral lines. A slightly asynchronous rotation of the primary component was revealed and the Am-type peculiarity of both the components was confirmed. The analysis of 23 spectra of the binary and 33 spectra of nonmagnetic stars does not exclude an effective magnetic field on HR 6611A, varying cyclically with an semiamplitude of 0.2 kG, but definitely not with the orbital period 3.895 d. |
