Description | The article presents experiential pedagogy and its potential of influencing the personal growth (recreational, educational, personal developmental and therapeutic goals). The attention is focused on the edge of personal development and therapy by the searching for unities and differences between experiential education and psychotherapy, including indicated target population, goals of interventions, methods and efficacious factors. There are also presented the results of a the qualitative research comparing the narrations of attendants of 10 day intensive experiential education group and 5 years long training in psychotherapy degree. One respondent who has passed both of them concludes: "the training seems to me to be "jing" and the course "jang". They are the same, but the opposite polarities. Jang means action and quickness, man can be very fast in the finish. The training is not so active. The processes there are slower, more hidden. And can be deeper. If you do not discover it one year, you can discover it the second or even the fourth year. This is not possible at the course. But both of the programs are identical in the fact that they are about personal growth." |
