Description | Telomere-binding proteins have recently been recognised not only as building blocks of telomer structure, but namely as components involved in telomere length regulation as well as in protective function of telomeres. Plant telomere-binding proteins include: 1) family of proteins with Myb domain at C-terminus, 2) proteins with Myb domain at N-terminus, both binding telomeric dsDNA, 3) ssDNA-binding proteins, and 4) other proteins that act also in non-telomeric chromatin regions. |
