Description | This study addresses the process of establishing social discipline in Austria (between 1750 and 1835), a phenomenon accompanying the establishing of a modern state. On the one hand state controlled migration of inhabitants, controlled recruiting, and other control mechanisms are created, on the other hand the state becomes the holder of social welfare. |
