| Description | This article looks at the new generation of scholars, who finished their studies following the establishment of the first Czechoslovak Republic and were able to establish themselves (becoming docents or even professors) during its existence, the impact of studying abroad in Western Europe for the implementation of "scholarly freedom" and "liberty in teaching", and presents a defense of these principles during the Second World War: the Faculty of Arts in Bratislava against the regime of the "Slovak State". |
