Description | Abstract: Taking advantage of critical cultural theory, this text examines the narrative concerning complementarity of sameness and difference in the production of knowledge within interpretation of National Geographic article. Representations of sameness and difference presented in this article refer to the cultural imagination of genomic and DNA research in connection with notions of nationality and ethnicity. Following text asks the consequences which the use of words and images connected with concepts of origin or imagination of the body for the construction of core-group or core solidarity of the specific community have brought. |
