| Description | Family law is said not to be eligible for harmonisation and unification, due to traditions. However, in relation with consideration of the European Civil Code, harmonisation and europeisation of family law is disscussed. First steps were done thanks to the activites of the Haag Conference of International Private Law and Council of Europe. Now, recodification of Czech Civil Code is the main topic of civil law lawyers. The draft of the basic sorce of private law includes family law norms in its second part. The main goal of the authors of the draft is to create discontinuity with socialist family law and to bring czech family law back to the european traditions and standards. |
