Description | Abstract. In Heteroptera many food specialists are found. Therefore, they are tested as potentional objects in biocontrol very often. Granivorous Coreus marginatus (Heteroptera: Coreidae) feed on Rumex obtusifolius (L.) seeds. In the field experiments we tested the hypothesis that granivory of this species has negative effect on germinability of R. obtusifolius seeds. Potential use of C. marginatus in the biocontrol of distribution of this invasive weed is discussed. |
