| Description | The result of study is analysis of the process of recodification of Czech Civil Code, which is the main topic of civil law lawyers. The draft of the basic source of private law (new civil code) includes family law norms in its second part. The main goal of the authors of the draft is to create discontinuity with socialist family law and to bring Czech family law back to the European traditions and standards. In relation with consideration of the European Civil Code, harmonisation and europeisation of family law is discussed. First steps to the europeisation of the Czech family law have been already done, mainly thanks to the activities of the Haag Conference of International Private Law and Council of Europe. |
