Description | The essay contains a detailed linguistical (as well as alphabetical) classification of the four historical languages on the Western coast of Asia Minor (Lycian, Carian, Lydian, Phrygian). Whereas fifty years ago it is only Phrygian that was held as Indoeuropean as to its origin, nowadays, all of them are taken more or less for Indoeuropean. |
