Description | When encoding was compared against the rest condition, the areas of activation in controls included dorsolateral and ventrolateral prefrontal cortex, hippocampus, parahippocampal gyrus, amygdala, fusiform gyrus, lingual gyrus, frontal and occipital medial gyrus. The patient group activated dorsolateral and ventrolateral prefrontal cortex, parahippocampal gyrus, amygdala, fusiform gyrus, lingual gyrus, medial and upper frontal gyrus. Group comparison revealed greater activation in controls in dorsolateral and ventrolateral prefrontal cortex, parahippocampal gyrus and fusiform gyrus. It remained significant even after introducing recognition success as a covariante of no interest. |
