Description Acne vulgaris is a chronic multifactorial disease of the pilosebaceous unit. In the pathogenesis the main role play the sebum hyperproduction, retention of corneal material in the follicular canal with subsequent colonization by Propionacterium acnes and production of inflammatory mediators in folicles and surrounding tissues. Clinical cours results from the presence various nenbers of inflammatory lesions and depend also on other factors, e.g. the type of the skin, age tee. According to these factors the type of therapy is selected, the topical, or with drug administrtion. Combined therapy is mostly prefered.
