Description This paper deals with the assessment of the competitiveness of the regions in the Czech Republic (regions, NUTS3) in respect of key indicators. These indicators are the regional gross domestic product, the average salary, the unemployment rate, the educational structure of the inhabitants and the balance of migration. Following the analysis of their static values and development trends, a development typology of regions is carried out. Its result is the division of regions into those high above-average, average, bellow-average and high bellow-average.
