| Description | To demonstrate the use of 25-G pars plana vitrectomy device for treatment of pathology of anterior segment of the eye.15 patients with pathology in anterior segment of the eye (posterior capsule opacification, hyphaema, vitreous streaks in anterior chamber) underwent surgical procedures by using of 25-G pars plana vitrectomy device. Comparisons of the anatomical and functional results in the anterior segment before and after surgical procedure are demonstrated. Conclusion: 25-G pars plana vitrectomy device was primary made for surgical procedures in the posterior segment. The use of this device in the anterior segment makes possible the treatment of some pathology with minimal traumatic response. |
