| Description | The text deals with adult civic education in the non-formal education sector in the Czech Republic. The authors first point out the relation between civic education and lifelong learning and, above all, relying on international and national strategic documents, present adult civic education as one of the tools for implementing the idea of active citizenship. Having done this, they present those data from the representative questionnare survey "Adult education in various stages of the life cycle: priorities, opportunities and possibilities of development" that concern participation of adults in civic education activities, the existing offer in this domain, and characteristics of adult education participants, which they compare against some charakteristics of other respondents included in the survey. |
