Description | In the past few years the evolution of Machine Learning (ML) techniques was significant. The number of fields, where ML is employed, is still continuously growing. One of these fields is Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA). The nature of many problems from the field (ERA) is ''machine learning-friendly''. A big impact on this two jointed fields had the Fourth International Workshop on Environmental Applications of Machine Learning in 2004, which was held in Slovenia, and also the scientific journals Ecological Modeling and Science of the Total Environment. In the next lines it will be shown how and on which problems ERA uses ML. In the conclusion will be discussed some possible directions of feature researches. |
