| Description | The pancreatoduodenectomy is an extensive surgical procedure endowed with very high morbidity. Six pancreatoduodenectomies in the terrain of preceding surgery dealing with biliary tree or pancreas and 1 total pancreatectomy were performed at the Department of surgery Faculty Hospital Brno during the years 2004-2005. Both malignant tumors and chronic pancreatitis represented the reasons for the surgery. The pancreatoduodenectomy is feasible and safe after preceding surgery of biliary tree and pancreas. |
