Description FISH is relatively simple, fast and non-invasive method for diagnosis of urothelial carcinomas that does not require radiactive labelling. FISH is not affected by on-going BCG therapy and it can be used for monitoring of efficiency of intravesical therapy of patients with surface TCC. It can detect features of malignity in molecular level, thus allowing earlier diagnosis and therapy. FISH allows making decision in cases of atypical or unclear cytological findings. The FISH method based on the UroVysion kit is a perspective non-invasive method that can detect TCC with higher sensitivity (65-100%) than standard urine cytology (sensitivity 47-78%).
