Description | This work aims to find a new focus function for typical biomedical images. No generally usable function exists so far. First, 17 classic methods are tested and evaluated. A version of strongly typed genetic programming is used for generating new focus functions. Our method is described and the results are compared with the classic focus functions. Genetic programming proves to be a very promising method for discovering hidden features of image in focus. |
