Description | Brno is the second largest city of the Czech Republic with almost 370 thousand inhabitants. During history it profiled as one of the most important economic centres of the country oriented at machinery, textile and electrical production, but also at tertiary and quaternary activities. During the last ten years Brno attempts to establish itself as the centre of education, mainly tertiary, and as the centre of research and scientific activities. The city tries to equate Prague and other Central European capitals. |
