Description | Mid-West Moravia (MWM) is quite unknown and so far not identified region in the borderlands of four mesoregions: South Moravia/Brno, West Moravia/The Highland, East Bohemia/Pardubice and Central Moravia/Olomouc. The adjacent microregions with nodes in the towns of Boskovice, Bystřice n.P., Svitavy and Konice have very similar problems with their development/sustainability and cross-bordering cooperation could be welcome. Geographical content analysis and synthesis is supported by GIS technologies – software platform ArcGIS 8.3, linked with relational system X-BASE (format dBASE IV, Microsoft Excel XP, Adobe Photoshop 6.0., software package AxioMap 1.5 CZ, delivered by the enterprise of Spatial Data Systems offering XML base/files, and visualization by format VML, natively supported by web browser Internet Explorer, version 4 and higher. For interactive map of MWM is accepted general cartographic projection „Geographic“ in coordinate system S-JTSK. This allows, with the help of WMS a ArcIMS servers, to combine and confront new created data with internet data sets published on the Web. |
