Description The location of magnetoreceptor in animal body is still unknown both in vertebrates and in the insects. Insect antennae are specialised sensory organs and good candidates for pupative magnetosensor site. Our preliminary resuts show that antennae ablations had no impact on magnetosensitive behavour though. The results point to other structures of insect nervous system as possible magnetoreceptors.
