Description | Political Parties in Central and Eastern Europe: In Search of Consolidation analyzes the party systems in Central and Eastern Europe, focusing on external regulation, internal function, womens participation and the role of different electoral systems for the development of the party system. This publications includes individual profiles of eighteen countries, namely Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia (FYROM), Montenegro, Poland Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia that give detailed information about the state of political parties in this region. Political Parties in Central and Eastern Europe: In Search of Consolidation aims at being a source of information about the current state of party politics. The report indentifies some problems that are common for the region and some that are specific for certain countries. It also suggest possible reforms to tackle the problems. |
