Description | Using HPLC method we analyzed the content (as the weight % of dry root) of alkaloids in the root extracts of selected species of family Papaveraceae. Reversed column MAX RP C 12 Phenomenex Synergi was used, mobile phase consisted of heptansulfonic acid with triethanolamine in redistilled water, pH 2,5.Acetonitrile gradient 25 60% during 30 minutes. The highest content of sanguinarine and chelerythrine was found in root of Dicranostigma lactucoides. The rare minor alkaloids chelirubine, chelilutine and macarpine were detected in Macleaya microcarpa and Stylophorum lasiocarpum. The presence of sanguirubine was approved only in Sanguinaria canadensis. |
