Description | The effect of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon fluoranthene (FLT, 0.1, 1 and 5 mg/L) on growth parameters, rate of net photosynthesis and photosynthetic pigments content in pea plants (Pisum sativum) was assessed. Plants were cultivated in vitro in MS-medium with growth regulators added (either IAA (0.1 mg/L) or in combination with BA (0.1 mg/L)). The assessments were done after 21 days of cultivation. The results demonstrated significant stimulation of growth and pigment content caused by FLT 0.1 mg/L and significant reduction caused by FLT 5 mg/L. The rate of net photosynthesis decreased by increasing concentration of FLT in the environment. Significant differences of investigated parameters were recorded in control plants cultivated in medium with IAA and IAA+BA. |
