Description | Common goal of the European Union regional policy is reducing interregional differences which have already emerged. This paper introduces regression analysis as an appropriate statistical method which has been used for evaluation of convergent tendencies of chosen regions in European Union. This evaluation was taken by means of chosen macroeconomic index of gross domestic product for one inhabitant (in purchasing power parity) for 78 observed regions from European Union. These regions represent 5 chosen member states of European Union (Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Austria, Slovakia). |
