Description The ambition to make better position of Europe in global economy led to acceptance of ambitious and unrealistic Lisboan strategy. It called into action especially the term of competitiveness increasing. Only fast launching of all kind of innovations (technical, organizational, processing, and marketing) leads to meeting the objective of Lisbon strategy. It is possible to show that innovativeness and competitiveness are not only the question of private for-profit sector but they have also place in non-profit sector and social enterprise too. With utilization of general knowledge of public economics (effectiveness of public sector, Pareto effectiveness, benefit maximization) the contribution argue for necessity of innovative approaches in social enterprise.
