Description | The aim of this work was to compare a phytotoxic effect of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon fluoranthene and herbicide Basagran on the germination of seeds, growth of seedlings and Hill reaction activity in isolated chloroplasts in pea plants (Pisum sativum L.,cv. Garde). Both fluoranthene (0.01, 0.1 and 1 mg/L) and Basagran (5, 20, 35 and 50 nmol/L) affected significantly the germination and the growth of seedlings. Partially higher concentrations of these compounds caused significant inhibition of Hill reaction activity (FLT up to 25%, Basagran even up to 91%). |
