| Description | The chapter focuses on the quality of life of child oncologic patients. The aims of the empirical study were to try out the Czech version of PedsQL and to finf out the difference in quality of life between hemato-oncologic and chronic child patients. The sample comprised 15 hemato-oncologic and 10 chronic child patients aged 8 to 12. Hemato-oncologic children perceived their quality of life worse than chronic childdren (Cohen's d=1; p=0,05). Qualitative analysis points to exhaustion as a major source of the difference. |
