| Description | The book comprises basic information on the monophyletic clade of chordates. Vertebrates including mammals (with man as a species)are the most important part of these animals. In the 2nd edition of the book, morphology, ecology, behaviour, evolution and system of vertebrates are revised and new data concerning molecular biology, cladistics, biodiversity and behavioural ecology are given. Actual status of vertebrates, their endangerment and conservation are evaluated. |
