Description | A survey of 492 households, which were struck by floods in the Czech Republic in 2002, has been carried out in collaboration with the Czech Caritas in winter of 2003/2004. Structured interview technique administered by interviewers was chosen and supplemented with several scales. The results, which was in the form of free answers, were recoded into summary categories and processed quantitatively. The paper presents results concerning impact of deluges on the minds of floods victims, estimation of the proportion of people stricken by floods that should be considered as potential beneficiaries of the psychosocial aid and explorations of the forms of this aid. |
