Description Metallothionein, low molecular cysteine rich protein, occurs through whole animal kingdom. Maintaining of heavy metal ions homeostasis in an organism is its main physiological function. It has been found that enhance or decrease in its level appear at several grave illnesses including cancer. In the present work we focused on utilizing of electrochemical and separation techniques to detect metallothionein in blood of patients with tumours.
