Description | The number of bound receptors in ligand-receptor models is assumed to be a random variable with a probability density function belonging to a parametric family with the signal as a parameter. The systems are assumed to be in their steady state and the ligand concentration is considered as the signal which has to be determined. The Fisher information is proposed as a measure how well the signal can be estimated. |
