Description | Treponema pallidum includes several obligate human pathogens. T. p. pallidum is an agent of sexually transmitted syphilis, T. p. pertenue and T. p. endemicum causes yaws and endemic syphilis, respectively. Pyrosequencing (454 sequencing) is a massivelyparallel sequencing-by-synthesis system. In this study, genomic DNA of T. p. pertenue CDC-2 was completely sequenced using 454 technology. |
