Description | Numerous drugs used in clinical cardiology are blockers of membrane channels. Some of them have access to their binding sites only in open channel state. The aim of this study was to elaborate an improved approach to the assessment of association and dissociation rate constants of drug-channel interaction. The increased accuracy of the calculation of rate constants according to the newly proposed formula was verified by simulations on a quantitative model that included channel gating and drug-channel interaction. |
