POPs air studies in Central and Southeastern Europe (RECETOX Activities)

• Description: Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in all environmental matrices are monitored in the area of Košetice observatory (professional observatory of Czech Hydrometeorological Institute located in south Bohemia) since the 1988. Observatory is developed as EMEP regional background monitoring site in the Central Europe. Observatory is included among regional background stations under both international (GAW, EMEP) and national programmes. The monitoring of POPs is performed on the base of integrated monitoring approach.
