Description | Within the last four or five years, the "Web 2.0" phenomenon has gained significant attention and is currently the driving force of web development. This article deals with social tagging, one of the typical Web 2.0 applications. Main principles of tagging are described together with the reasons that make tagging so popular and the problems that the uncontrolled nature of tagging may bring. Finally, possible usages of the mass of tagged resources are presented. |
