Description Normal cell function depends on the stability and minimal changes in the internal environment. Maintaining the balance of the internal environment of organism is necessar to sustain life of the orgaism. For this purpose, in the course of evolution createdva completely different regulatory processes. Probably one of the important mechanisms is to maintain a balance of metal ions and thus potentially arising very dangerous oxygen radicals. It is known that thiol compounds was (in its molecule containing -SH group) play in this field of cell important role.
