Description | Hypercoagulation is common before and after cardiac surgery using CPB. Even during CPB in fully heparinised patients hypercoagulation may be detected. Further investigation to clear up this fenomenon are needed. TEG is usable method for screening of hypercoagulable states during cardiac surgery. Advanced technologies (e.g. platelet mapping) are needed to explain reason of hypercoagulability. |
